The Compliance Auditor is responsible for overseeing and auditing all packing and dispatch operations within a busy chilled poultry production facility. This role ensures all products are labelled, packed, and dispatched in full compliance with food safety, quality, and customer requirements. Working closely with line operatives and production leaders, the Compliance Auditor plays a key role in maintaining traceability, completing audits, and upholding the site’s hygiene and compliance standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the accurate labelling, boxing, palletising, and despatch of chilled poultry products. They will ensure that all batch codes, use-by dates, and stock rotation procedures are followed correctly and that traceability is maintained at all times. A key part of the role is operating and monitoring equipment such as labelling machines, metal detectors, and vision systems, while also completing and verifying audit paperwork and compliance documentation.
The role includes conducting and recording all critical control point checks, temperature checks, MAP testing, and scale calibrations. The Compliance Auditor must ensure all products meet required weights, sizes, packaging specifications, and visual presentation standards. Any non-conformances must be reported immediately to senior management or the technical team.
They will also be responsible for the correct setup of packing lines, including programming machines and selecting appropriate packaging materials. Supervising and supporting packing operatives, assisting with training, and ensuring effective performance on the line is a daily part of the role. The Compliance Auditor will contribute to meeting production targets while upholding a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
Applicants should have previous experience working in a food production environment, ideally within FMCG or poultry processing. A Level 2 Food Safety qualification is desirable, although training can be provided. Candidates must have a good understanding of food safety, traceability, and quality standards. Confidence in using packing equipment and basic IT systems (such as Microsoft Office) is essential. Strong attention to detail, excellent timekeeping, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment are crucial for success in this role.
This role is based on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with 12-hour shifts available across both days and nights. Pay is competitive and will be discussed upon application.
